〈굴소년의 노래〉는 시인 이기성의 시를 노래로 옮긴 음악낭독극이다. 화려한 무대 장치 없이 배우들의 낭독과 노래만으로, 시의 결을 따라가는 작은 무대다. 단단한 껍데기 안에 자신을 감춘 ‘굴소년’의 이미지를 통해, 상처와 외로움, 그리고 그 안에서 길어 올리는 노래를 그린다.

이기성은 마포 지역에서 활동해 온 시인으로, 낭만씨어터는 2017년 마포중앙도서관 연말 음악 낭독회 〈시가 빛나는 밤에〉에서 이기성 시인과 한 무대에 섰다.

Song of the Oyster Boy is a music-reading theatre piece built from the poems of the poet Lee Ki-seong. Carried by reading and song alone, it follows the grain of the verse — drawing, through the image of an “oyster boy” hidden inside a hard shell, the wounds and loneliness from which a song is nonetheless drawn.

Lee Ki-seong is a poet active in the Mapo district of Seoul. In 2017 Nangman Theatre shared a stage with him at On a Night When Poetry Shines, the year-end music reading held at Mapo Central Library.
