The Gig series began after Nangman Theatre settled in London. With theatres closed during the pandemic, the company met its audience through online streaming instead of a physical stage.

Hyojung Jung on vocals and guitar, Korean pianist Sunny on piano, and Moroccan guitarist Moumen Rais on guitar built a repertoire that crossed borders — from musical-film songs to pop, jazz, and Arirang. These gigs became the starting point of the international collaborations Nangman Theatre continues to pursue.

The following spring, the trio returned for a second gig titled Viva la Vida. The same three artists — Hyojung Jung, Sunny, and Moumen Rais — gathered again for another online set, timed so that audiences in both Korea and the UK could share the performance live.
